BIO

         My name is Jakob Frishmuth, I was born in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and am currently attending The College of Charleston. I'm majoring in Studio Art with a concentration in photography. I've produced three bodies of work while being involved in the photography program. The first being my Gardens of Charleston project while the next two, Hoops and Charleston Corner Stores were produced a short while after.

          One image in my Gardens of Charleston series was selected to be a participant in the 2019 edition of Young Contemporaries hosted by the Halsey Institute on campus.

          When arriving on the College of Charleston campus in 2016, I had no idea what I wanted to do nor did I have any idea that there was even a photography program offered. Ever since I was young I've always had access to a camera and enjoyed using it, though I never really experimented in bodies of work until I became involved in the schools photography program.
